The 2022 Cascades Earthquake was the deadliest and costliest earthquake in North American History. It reached a moment magnitude of 9.3 as it shook British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and Northern California. It later caused a massive tsunami that reached 30 meters in Northern Oregon killing over 7,000 people and causing an estimated $100 Billion in damage during a year of great destruction worldwide including the most active hurricane season, a super tornado season, and more powerful earthquakes in New Zealand and Greece.

The 2022 Cascades Earthquake was the strongest earthquake to hit the United States and North America. It toppled many towers in Seattle and Portland. Freeways and roads were split across Oregon and Washington. A road near Eugene was split killing 1 driver and toppling a street sign. Fires were started across the Portland and Seattle Area. YouTube and Twitch Streamers and Videomakers were interrupted by strong shaking especially in Oregon and Washington. Nordstrom headquarters partially collapsed killing over 30 people. Nike headquarters completely collapsed killing nearly all inside including the CEO. Many college students were killed as universities and colleges across the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada were damaged. Damages in all totaled at $40 Billion and 20,000 deaths were reported.

A tsunami later hit flooding the coast of many areas along the Pacific Rim. Waves up to 20 feet struck Miyagi and Iwate Prefectures killing many. Waves also struck Hawaii and Alaska. The largest waves struck the Pacific Northwest where the tsunami swallowed entire towns sweeping away cars, homes, landmarks, schools, businesses, and people. The tsunami was the largest in American history worst than the 1700 tsunami in the same location.
